Method
- Fill a cocktail shaker with fresh ice cubes to chill the drink properly.
- Add the spiced rum, coconut rum, blue curaçao, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and sweet and sour mix into the shaker.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds. This step blends the flavors and slightly froths the pineapple juice.
- Fill a highball glass or hurricane glass with fresh ice.
- Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass.
- Garnish the drink with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately while cold.
Notes
Use fresh pineapple juice whenever possible because it improves the flavor and freshness of the cocktail. If you prefer a stronger drink, slightly increase the rum amounts. For a frozen version, blend the ingredients with crushed ice until smooth. To make a non-alcoholic version, replace the rums and liqueurs with pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, and blue raspberry syrup.
