Method
- First prepare the margarita glass. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a plate of sea salt or shredded coconut to create a flavorful rim.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the 1800 coconut tequila, pineapple juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake well for about 15–20 seconds until the mixture becomes very cold and well combined.
- Add fresh ice to the prepared margarita glass if you want the drink served on the rocks.
- Strain the cocktail from the shaker into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge or a small pineapple slice.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing tropical coconut margarita.
Notes
For a frozen coconut margarita, blend the ingredients with one cup of ice in a blender instead of shaking.
If you prefer a sweeter drink, add ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup before shaking.
To create a creamy version, add ½ oz coconut cream or coconut milk before shaking.
You can also replace pineapple juice with mango juice or orange juice for a different tropical flavor.
